About This Project

Since 1854, St George’s Hall has stood majestically over the Liverpool skyline. Located opposite Lime Street Railway Station, the hall provides a focal landmark to welcome visitors to the city. The brief was to create an exterior lighting scheme and provide solutions that enhanced the striking architecture, highlighting Liverpool’s culture. Another important factor was the hall needed to be suitable for commercial purposes, such as a venue for product launches, receptions and conferences. Tryka Strip Module and Aura 7 RGBW luminaires were used to illuminate the roof details and mid-building insets. The dynamic, colour-changing lighting was controlled via a ShowCAD system. The new lighting scheme has a flexible design which showcases the historic architecture while utilising the dynamic colour-changing lighting to act as a premium commercial venue.
